Zuni was located in the international city center of Bogota, on the first floor of a 1970’s modernist building. The floor had been empty for years until Zuni purchased the space for a café restaurant with an outside terrace and an after-work bar for the people who work in the area.
Our design used a built-in modular ‘sitting-room’ system to create a lively, adaptable space, which could be quickly adapted depending on the number of customers. This system used a series of of sliding glass panels to open and enlarge the main room, as well as mirrors to visually open up and enlarge the space.
