Architecture and Interior Design
Chamois Bar and Terrace is spread across three separated buildings separated by a single terrace. The venue was a neocolonial construction listed as a historic preservation building which meant that we had to use a sensitive approach to the project.
So as not to disturb the interior architecture we mostly used coloured panels to break up the space, with glittering surfaces and geometric forms used for for counters, walls and ceilings. The clear colour concept carried through the entire interior. We also used semitransparent wooden doors so as not to enclose any areas and give a feeling of lightness. The exterior views on the terrace were left uninterrupted by the use of visually low-impact, moveable tinted glass seating units.
